I put a new 1.8 motor and a 2.0 trans. also new resurfaced flywheel, in my tibby around the end of feb. begin. of march. i bought a new clutch, pressure plate, bearing off ebay. about a week after all this work, crashed the car, and it sat for about 2 months, been driving it about 3 months, put about 9,000 miles on it and i have clutch chatter, that useally means the clutch is shot! the previous clutch i had, had 137,000 miles on it and was still deceant amount of meat on it. I guess my question is, has anyone else bought a clutch off ebay, and if so has anyone had any "excessive wear" problems? And i'll state now, I DO KNOW HOW TO DRIVE, so its not me buring the clutch all day. Any help/feedback is appreciated, thanks

never bought any clutches off of ebay but i have a clutch setup with pressureplate and throwout bearing and disc with 11k miles on it. Its all in awesome shape. But did you breakt he clutch in properly. I know a few people have had clutch issues because of this. Anyways if you want to buy the whole setup or part of the setup I have for cheap just let me know. Its an Hyundai OEM setup so its not some cheap ebay ripoff if in fact that is what you recieved and not just a discounted OEM setup.

its was an OE clutch kit off ebay, for $80, and it didnt start chattering untill about 9K on the clutch! i'm thinking its the throwout bearing not holing the clutch tight. but i'm not big on transmissons, all i really know is BMW.
