CLUTCH PROBLEM!!!! EMERGENCY!!! NEED ANSWERS NOW PLZ!!
Ok i installed my new clutch yesterday night, mounted the tranny up, got everything ready to go, put more tranny fluid in, get in the car to start it up and the clutch pedal is hard as a rock!!! it wont move. so i get out of the car and look under the hood and check that little pin that comes out of the top of the tranny that the clutch cable connects too and i cant turn it like i could before. what did i do wrong?? and how do i fix it, obviously i have to pull the tranny again but did i not line something up right?? was that supposed to be turned a certain way before i mounted the bellhousing back up to the block? please help me out asap because i am gonna break it back down tonight!. thanks guys!
T.O.B.??? and no i did not put anything on any little fingers inside of the tranny?? where is that and how do i do it! this isnt the first tranny or clutch i have replace before so its not like im a complete retard but i finished at around 3 a.m. so im not surprised i messed up. thanks for the help and please explain what you mean.
ok check this out, I am about to do a tranny swap, so Ive been researching the how to's of our tranny.
this is from Turbulence:
1. take the nut off the slave cylinder fulcrum bolt on the top of the tranny
2. with the tranny off, take the throw out bearing off by opening the two open ends on the clip holding the throw out bearing to the pressure plate. there is a tool for this, which you cou8lodpick up at any parts store.
3. with the bolt off of the throw out bearing fulcrum, the fork that holds the throwout bearing will pivot/ swing out for you to slide the throwout bearing on the fork
4. after the TOB is on the fork, slidethe fork back in, towards the tranny, and put the nut back on
5. bolt the tranny up to the engine, after this, you have to manually push the slave cylinders arm (towards the front of the car) to slip the TOB into the pressure plate, youll hear a click, and youll feel a little resistance, youll can only push it so far.
6. push the clutch pedal in and see if it feels right. it will, but this is a measure to make sure the throw out bearing is in the pressure plate.
