hey,

I finally got someone to put a new clutch in and notice that I really have to press down on the clutch (right to the floor) to get it to shift into the lower gears when gearing down. What can I adjust to fix this problem?

You can adjust the clutch to make it "catch" higher up on the pedal travel if that is your preference.

However, you should always be pushing the pedal to the floor to shift anyway. Even if engagement is smooth pushing 1/2 or 1/4 way down, you may not be fully engaging/disengaging the clutch, leading to premature wear.

Like he said^^^. Check hma service for the procedure. If that doesn't fix it other solutions for clutch depression include Prozac and getting it laid every once in a while.

I geuss I should have elaborated more. When you push the clutch to the floor it still has trouble getting back into first and down to 2nd, unless you stomp on it and push it down a wee bit further. It just seems it needs a 1/4 of a inch raise and it'll be good again

Bleed the system, check for leaks.

If not, synchros from 1-2 might be bad.
