Hey there,

Well my question is, since ACT doesnt have listed a Hyundai 2000+ Elantra or Tib. alignment tool, does a 96-99 Mitsu Eclipse (base model) clutch alignment tool work for us?

I'm just wondering cause i want a ACT alignment tool and if so, i could buy one and informe ACT that it will fit so they will know and also have it listed.

Thanks for the future response.

I believe I also used a leftover alignment tool from my 4g63t Elantra project days to put the clutch back on my Tib after I had to swap the engine due to the oil drain bolt coming out.... But yeah they work.

you can use anything you want, as long as it fits snug.

a good on the spot allignment tool is a deep well socket, if it isnt quite snug enough, use tape to build it up to the right size.

^^ I ended up using one that didn't really fit from another car. I had thrown mine away and I really needed to just change the flywheel when I did mine last time. So I dug around through the shop supplies and found one. It was similar, but not quite perfectly fitting. It worked and that's all that counted. The other 2 times I did my clutch, the alignment tool was provided.

oh cool! well i ordered the alignment tool yesterday so when ever i do my swap i can take some pics and send them to ACT and tell them it also fits and works for the 96 - 2006 2.0L hyundais (correct me if i'm wrong), so they have it listed and they can send it with the clutch kits in the future.

I bought it from AJUSA.com. It was the cheapest place i could find it.

Alignment tool is 3.97
Shipping was 10.00 02.gif this is the killer.

I also found it on prostreetonline.com but they sell it for 7.xx plus 10.00 shipping, so yeah, they will all charge the shipping.
