I just got an act clutch kit and I can't seem to get my hands on an alignment tool. Even Hyundai doesn't sell them. Any suggestions?

try your local automotive parts and tools shop... they should have it

also, you can call your local auto transmission/repair shops and ask where to get it or even rent it from them

oh here's what i found online...

My uncle saw me using mine to put my clutch on and said you dont really need them.

He said just look through the p/p and make sure the friction surface is in the center as you tighten the p/p

but if this is your first clutch id say wait for the tool, since itll take you a week or two anyway lol.

^^^I dunno if it would help any, but the alignment tool that I recieved with my clutch had "honda" molded right in. I suppose that hondas use the same tool we do, I wouldn't be surprised.

Anyway, what I am saying is for you to take your clutch disk and flywheel (if you have one out of the car) to a local honda dealer and ask them for one, if it fits, then use it.

Good luck to you.

I just eyeball mine too. It doesn't need to be perfect. And the tool doesn't get it perfect anyways.

I was gonna try and eyeball it, but considering its my first time trying to replace a clutch on anything i bought it. Better safe than sorry i suppose.

last time I aligned a clutch, I used the handle from my ratchet and a strong flashlight to eyeball it up.

The tool does make it MUCH easier though.

I called my local dealer and they have a universal one from snap-on. I have 2 that came with my my 2 spec clutches, $10 plus shipping and one of them is yours.
