HI

I think I have to change my spark plugs. I have bought Bosch Super 4 plugs on ebay. The seller told me that they fit in my Car. It's a Coupe RD with the G4GR engine. Today I asked in a local car store if they have these plugs for my car. But they didn't find it in the catalogue. They only found it for a Hyundai Lantra with the same Engine-Code G4GR. Will they fit in my Car. Is it difficult to change the spark plugs or just

remove cover
remove spark plug cable
turn the old plug out
the new one in
connect the spark plug cable
mount the cover

As far as I know they should fit. Process is just like you described, but do one plug at the time.

Spark plugs should fit, cause Elantra BETA and Tiburon BETA engines are the same, so they should use same plugs.

Be careful to not overtight sparkplugs in the head. Best is to tighten them with torque wrench.

Also, Check the spark plug gap to make sure it is correct before you put the new ones in.

Actually, I'll post the size when I get home.

I bought a $300 set of craftsmen tools last year and it came with 2 spark plug sockets.

Neither are the right size. I had to go buy it seperately.

5/8 inch. please make sure you use a spark plug socket and not a regular deep socket.

my 20 dollar master mechanic ratchet set from true value came with only one SP socket, and it was the right one. lifetime warranty too. wink1.gif

why can't a deep socket be used? I assume, it won't be deep enough?

My $50 tool kit came with two and one of them was the right size smile.gif
