When i start up my car and drive, i feel a lurch usually when i hit second gear (automatic tranny). this lurch is pretty intense but only lasts for about the first mile driven.. then car shifts pretty smoothly.

if it makes any difference... its absolutely freezing here... sub 0 temps for weeks now. (ever since i purchased car).

i had my mechanic check out the car before i purchased but he didn't notice it (it had been driven for a while before he drove it)

should i be concerned? or is it just the weather? (cold just messes everything up)

btw... just had a tranny flush so thats all good

Sound like its time for a tranny flush ... which you just got?

Did the shifting problem start after the flush? Did they actually flush the old fluid out, or simply do a filter and pan fluid change?

the problem was before the flush... and they were SUPPOSED to completely flush the fluid.

i have seen an improvement... but its still there.

like i said... its bad until i drive about a mile, then it shifts smoothly.

If you don't allready, let it warm up for 5-10 mins before you drive.

I just fixed some really bad 1st gear lurching (manual), was due to my CAI coming off above the MAF. If you have a CAI, make sure it's all hooked up right.
