BV1 how was the Dyno Run :)
So what was the results?
Did the tib show the 140 Wheel Hp you thought?
You would think it should with all the money you spent on mods?
Did the ERam provide the mose performance gains?

JAWS, For a guy who was there... you sure dont remember much. hehe. I have to go down today and pick up the dynos, I forgot them there.
For everyone else. The dyno machine was screwed up. I arrived at 1:00 and we set it up, and my first run with all the mods except the GT cam showed a 92 WHP run. This is where I got mad. I was like WTF is wrong with this dyno and so on, and the guy says oh its accurate, people just dont realise how much they lose through their transmissions. I said nooo a stock 5spd Tiburon dynos 120 WHP mine should be around 130-135 WHP right now. And he just starts laughing, so whatever, I let that go, because all I really needed to do was tune the S-AFC.
Ok so first off we throw in the E-ram and do another run, it jumps from 91.9 WHP to 95.1 WHP. So the E-RAM does provide GAINS. I think its more then 3.2 WHP because that dyno is a % off not off by a specific HP amount. Whatever, so it showed some gains. So we take the E-RAM off and JAWS 01 and me install the GT cam. We do another run 97.0 WHP at the wheels, well thats cool, 5 WHP gain just like that. (Probably closer to 7 REAL WHP).
So then we start tuning the S-AFC, I start at just -1% at 3000 -2% at 4000 and so on all the way to 6500 RPM (-6%). We do another run and it dynos 98.3 WHP, well thats cool. So I bump it down 2% leaner all around and I dyno 99.5 WHP. ALright, so I notice some of the points the WHP has fallen and some it has risen, as well as some show lean and some show rich on the graph. So me and Neo_Tib tweak the settings a bit and come up with amount -14% at 6500 -11% at 6000, -9% at 5500 and so on. Dyno again we get 100.1 WHP. Hmm.. Still shows rich on the top end, so we modify it 10 -18% 6500, -14% at 6000 and leave the rest, and I dynoed 101.1 WHP. Bahh thats it, I dont want to go any leaner then that. So we leave it at that.
Then we throw the E-RAM back on and do another run. It only jumps from 101.1 to 102.9 WHP. The dyno owner (Sheldon) said that if we richened it back up at the top by 2% or so we should get the original 3.2 WHP or more, but I was already indebted over $500 so I said no thats it for the day. All together I did 20 runs! Yikes! I will go get the graphs and post them, but whatever, as I said this dyno is screwed, 92 WHP uh huh... I told him that would mean a stock tib would be puttin 75 WHP down, 50% loss to the transmission. He responded that the tiburons were "overrated". Bahhh... So now you know why JAWS 01 is bugging me. I told him to go do a run and see if he can break 90 WHP on the same dyno... hehe smile.gif

Oh yeah, BV1 hanging on for dear life and thinking "MUST PROVE RED WRONG,... WHY AM I ONLY GETTING 92 HP!!...DID I CHANGE MY UNDERWEAR TODAY?"
