Buying Pulley with a Big System
How much would the crank pulley take away from my system if I want to put 4 tv's in my car with a playstation2 in it with 2 12's and all factory speakers redone? I know that alot of people say that they pulley will take away from the system or something like that. Is it smart not to go the pulley route if I have all of that in my car  Some advice would be great before I get the pulley and it be the worst thing for me in the future

I wouldn't do it. The pulley has a noticeable affect on my headlights at idle with my stock system.
|
Damn eek! , but how much difference do you feel fron before you installed the pulley?
|
I noticed a difference in performance, if that's what your asking. But, there is a difference in the A/C and electrical difference vs. stock. It's not enough for me to regret buying the pulley but I'm just not sure I would use it with a large system.

Aiight cool thanks.

Well, you may want to run a larger battery and/or a larger alternator and some capacitors to help stabalize everything.

He may be right. I'm no electrical expert and I don't know anything about stereo equipment, I just know that it had a noticeable affect on my stock electrical system. tongue.gif I think this is a "one or the other" type of mod. The gains arent enough to get it while adding a considerable amount of weight to counteract its negative effects. Performance or sound system, you pick. wink

more like, performance or HUGE system. If your headlights are already dimming when your subs hit, then you do NOT want an underdrive pulley. If you have less than maybe a 1000 watt system, you might not notice it.
***caution: numbers pulled from thin air*** :D |
I notice that my interior and exterior lights dim when at idle, and then brighten when I rev.
|
if you can get a smaller alternator pully it will offset it. but then would it offset the other pulley?
