has antone installed the bomz cai.I'm trying to get it in but it doesn't want to line up.when I do get it to line up and I go to try to install the filter it rest on the lower radiator hose.Anyone got in suggestion on what to do.

Honestly? Get a CAI from a well known company.

BOMZ makes shit products, they advertize parts for years of cars that don't exist, or that they don't fit. Their customer service is HORRIBLE, and after over 40 emails, they still refuse to reply, or change the model years listed for some of their parts.

Any company that would rather sell a part to the wrong person on purpose, rather than lose a few sales by having the right part listed, can suck my white ass.

After looking at that, it's plain to see that the BOMZ intake is a Injen clone.

Do you have an automatic?

Follow these 5 easy steps.

1. Tape up one end of your bomz intake with duct tape. Make sure it is taped securely, and air-tight.
2. Fill bomz intake halfway with water, making sure your tape is strong enough so there are no leaks.
3. Place assorted flowers inside bomz intake.
4. Set your new artsy vase down on the kitchen table.
5. Buy yourself an AEM CAI.

I like it, its fits perfect so if you don't want to drop the $120-$200 for a new AEM (Which im sure its worth it) look into this one

idk, i bought a bomz 2 years ago and i still have it. The only real problem that i've seen is that the mount doesn't line up, big deal, let it hang. And the filter they give you is crap, just go buy a K&N. mines sits right below the bottom hose, but im not sure if a elantra bay is different from an RD2

i was just looking at the exact same intake, with a K&N filter of course cool.gif

Why purchase a knockoff for $30 + probably another 30 for shipping, and a K&N filter... when you can buy a genuine AEM which comes with an excellent filter - for a few bucks more, and know that you're getting namebrand quality?

I don't know, maybe it's just me. I know it probably works just as good, but still.

AEM, all the way, no questions asked, period. True CAI sounds nice, looks nice, works nice, and once you put it on, trust me, you won't regret it.

well the filter they sent dont fit for sh*t.I had to go get apc compact filter to get it to fit just right.I think i'll be buying a better one later and kick this one to the curb.I should of done research befor just jumping into it like I normally would do.but it's in and sounds so much better compared to the sri that I had.

I think you should get a Chrome Intake CAI. It's the same as the AEM, but it allows for adjustability in case you need it.
