Hi, I am new to the site and I know this topic has been touched on many times now, and before I go replacing the TPS, I just wanted to get everyone else's opinions on it.

I hit a hard bump in the road on a very rainy day and right after I hit the bump my check engine light started flashing and it acting like it was stuttering/bogged down under 2000rpms, but when I go above that I have lots of power. I have done a couple things so far, but I don't want to go buying a bunch of parts unless it will fix it. My TPS is the bad Daesung version(may have mispelled it).

I have already replaced the spark plugs and checked the wires to see if any are loose. Did a ECU reset and tonight I am going to clean the MAF and PCV valve.

Just wondering, does it really sound like a bad TPS or maybe something else?

Thanks in advance! smile.gif

*edit- just wanted to add to my OP that I normally would replace everything. I will be picking up plug wires tonight just in case thats the cause as the car has a factory wire set with about 137,000kms on it. I just decided to make a post on it cause I found it odd that it happened at the same time I hit the bad bump, so I was thinking it may be something that was rattled too hard.

Thats not your TPS. If the CEL is flashing that means your misfiring. When that hapened to me it was a bad plugwire, but it could theoretically be your ECU, or any wiring between your ECU and your spark plugs.
