I have an AEM clone CAI and a Weapon R... over all which is better? I was thinking about using the AEM clone with the Weapon R Filter.
What do you guys think?

I have the real AEM and I love it and for all applications ive heard its the best out there so if the one you have is pretty identical Id use that one. You could use the Weapon filter if youd like if the other one didnt come with a filter or you could buy a K&N filter but those can get expensive
aren't the AEM filters the same as the K&N filters?
I would say go with the AEM. First off its a Cold air intake and i believe the weapon R is a short ram.
As for the filters in not sure which one is better but if what i stated before is that AEM uses K&N filters then I would say use the AEM filter on the end of the intake.

Yeah... Weapon R is usually garbage.... just because its an AEM clone doesn't mean its manufactured with the same great materials as the AEM one is.
But if you must keep it, get a decent cone filter...

So Weapon R is shit?
This is what I have: AEM clone with a cheap-o-filter
The Weapon R Setup
Spectrum-X Ram Intake Cone Filter
So my best bet is the AEM clone with the spectrum cone...
Why is Weapon R so pricey if it sucks so much ass?
What is wronge with Weapon R anyways?
And personally I never have liked K&N to damn expensive and a $15 AC Delco is the better filter head to head*And for all you people that spent 4x a reasonable amount. This is only an opinion*
I'm more of a Bang for your buck kinda person.

Sounds to me like you're more of a CHEAP person man, or someone who just doesn't understand about cars yet. Yes, piping is piping, but have you taken a look at the welds on those aem clones? The one I saw had HORRIBLE welds (like I could have done better) for the nipples on the elbow, and when installed the mount didn't even line up, they come with no instructions (not like it's hard but still) ..
in the tuning business .. Quality > Price - no matter what
Just stick with the AEM clone since the differance between the two might add up to .5 hp at the wheels so it really not worth the extra money just because it might look better, I don't think it really matters wich cone filter you use either, between the WR filter and a K&N adds up to about 0hp.
