Beta1 vs Beta2 pistons
What is the difference between the Beta1 and beta2 piston?
Most USA oem parts claim them to be interchangable. so what has tigerlilly changed to clarify a difference between the two piston types? |
pretty sure that they are exactly the same man.
|
they are not identical.
they are interchangeable. I currently have the beta II pistons on a beta I block, crank, and rods. |
So what is the difference ^^
That is what I want to know. |
delete, sorry.
|
couldnt get on webtech but carpoint says
3.23 X 3.68 beta1 bore & stroke 3.22 X 3.68 beta2 bore & stroke |
I am thinking it a differen valve relief.
Since the beta 2 is MLA. They may need a deeper valve releif. My wish list would say, they move the pivot point of the pivot high up to the top, so they use a longer rod and means a better rod/stroke ratio smile.gif but no one seems to know 02.gif I am starting to think its just a marketing thing for the idiot impaired. They could be the same piston. |
Compression difference?

No.. <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Shadohh)</div><div class='quotemain'>I am starting to think its just a marketing thing for the idiot impaired. Larry: The compression is raised slightly.. just by looking at the two pistons.. |
Slightly:) ...more or less than with 1.8l pistons in a beta1?
