Beta 1 2.0l exhaust cam on the intake said
Can anybody help with this mod on engine. I have read that people put the exhaust cam on the intake side with some modification on the cam.

That seems like a metric crap ton of work for something that might not work anyway. Only one of the beta cams is driven by the belt so having two for the same type might not be possible from the get go - before getting into cam profiles/timing, etc

I've also been considering doing it as well since it has higher lift and longer duration. Seems pretty straight forward but I wonder when the valves would open after the swap. Guess best bet would be to use a cam degree wheel.

If you do a side by side of any cam set the intake and exhaust are identical, minus the obvious VERY minor deviations in duration and lift. The cam mod in question is common and relatively easy if you have the right machinist to get the cam timing lug put in the correct spot.

Ok, so I was thinking can the stock valve train handle the extra lift and duration from the cam?

Yes, the stock valvetrain will hold up fine. It is a stock cam so nothing really is changing. To ease your mind, members have ran much higher lift cams on stock valvetrain without issues as well.

I'm using the 1.8 cam right now , but was also thinking about 2.0 exhaust cam... Wasn't sure back then, not that I'm now :) but might give it a try !

I have that in my car right now, the most difficult part is having the pin for the cam sensor fabricated.
