OK, I'm just gonna get the B&M since everyone says it will fit and they all seem to do the same thing. Only difference is which one looks purdier. So to all who knows about this and is recommending this one:

Which one should I get? Will they ALL fit from any model? Is the flange universal?

Does it bolt on easily or do I need some fuel rail/line atatchments to make it work with the Tiburon?

 

I don't know of ANY FPR that is a direct bolt on to our fuel rail. Any FPR would require the creation of a block of plate for the end of the fuel rail, that had a passage for return fuel, then mount a "universal" FPR somewhere on the firewall.

 

How do I go about creating a block plate?

 

random, with the B&M FPR you don't need an adaptor, you use your stock FPR, cut the top of it and bolt the B&M "FPR" on it,
now you cna raise and lower fuel pressure
the thing that i'm unsure is wich model we need to get, Mitsubishi or honda...

Well shit, that suddenly explains a whole load of things I've been hearing. I'm thinking of a fully external fuel pressure regulator, not one of those snap-on-the-top ones.

You cannot lower fuel pressure with one of those, because you're depending on the stock regulator orfice for base pressure...

If you want to LOWER your fuel pressure, you need to go with an external (read: larger) unit. The stock regulator, even just the bottom half, is too small and cannot vent enough gasoline out of the fuel rail to lower pressure. No matter what you slap on the top, the bottom half isn't going to work.

Well, you can get that type anywhere and for less than what HDK is selling them for. The problem is, how do you connect it to that funky connector on the fuel rail?

Alpine makes one, but I don't know if they would be willing to sell it seperately.

your other option is to 'thread' in something to the end of the fuel rail that will be gas tight, that will allow you to drop the diameter down to say 1/4" or 3/8"
