Axle/tranny oil?

When I was working on my car today I pulled my axle out of the tranny by accident and leaked a little of tranny oil. Oil looked pretty fresh, but since I'm missing some I will probably replace it with some racing tranny oil. What was the name of it that everyone uses? How much should I buy? Anyone has pictures of where to put the oil in and where the bleed valve is?

Thanks

you dont bleed the oil in your tranny.

use 2 quarts redline mt90 and a pint of lucas oil stabalizer and you should be good.

Thank you tibby01 smile.gif

Webtech doesn't work on my old computer for some reason and it's the only computer that works right now 02.gif

Maybe someone has a picture of it or something. I've just neved done it before and curious what it takes to do it. My dad has never changed oil in FWD car with manual tranny either, so he doesn't know either.

UPDATE:
Got to webtech! yay! Thanks for the link man! really appreciate it smile.gif

Got another question, how will I be able to fill the oil into the hole, it looks like it's in the very uncomfortable place. Will I need some kind of pump or something?

thanks

Not to Hijack...but can you use the Redline MT90 in an auto as well?

OdessitPashka 03-29-2005 09:44 PM

Probably not. I believe hyundai put some sh*ty parts into auto trannies and they will be damaged by lucas stabilizer.

definately not bludrgn.

it is easy to get the old oil out, but it is pretty tough to put the new stuff in. you might wanna try sticking the bottle of lucas in super hot water prior to putting it in. it has a little tip so you can just squeez it in at crazy angles, no need for a funnel.

anywho, go to your local auto parts store. you could buy some crazy angled funnel or one of those tubes for filling the tranny, cause you def. wont be able to just dump the oil in.

I am probably just gonna take it somewhere then Thanks guys

nah man, do it yourself...
http://www.247-parts.com/leyline/redline_oil_atf.shtml

you can find out how to change it in your manual. auto trannies are easy.

Thanks again tibby01. Will the oil be cheaper at locar parts store? Because that website has pretty good prices. Another question, why do you recommend mt90?

Thanks
