Okay, while internetless I finally installed my BBTB, it's the adjustable RSide one available on Kspec.com. Yes, I'll have a DIY up tomorrow on it, also with the coolant line mod.

Anyways, I installed mine, got past the problems, and the throttle response is almost as big of a change as adding the CAI. I still need to toss my BIM in there, but I'm really happy for now. My car seems to want to do 100 all the time now, and I don't really have to push on the gas hard untill after 105 or so. Nice.

Okay, now the question I'm asking here, is after I put the 2 on, I noticed that whenever I give the gas, especially after I shift, it sounds like I have a BOV installed. Some guy asked me the other day to see my turbo because he could hear it. I know what it's coming from, the TB valve is tight enough that when it opens just a bit it makes a high pitched sucking sound until it opens about 1/4 of the way.

Anyone else got this side effect?

I had the same thing after i installed my aem, but that was only when i put the gas pedal halfway down (or more) real fast. Like flooring it as soon as my foot came off the clutch pedal.

I don't hear it very often any more, guess its time to clean my filter again.

And no, i dont have a bbtb (yet)

This only happens when I shift too, unless I am driving and let all the way off the gas and crack it.

It's hillarious seeing some folks react. I had some guy looking real close the other day and I hit him with my 120 DB horns.

LMAO

REDZ!!! It's like you've been reading my mind the last few days!!!

I have been considering SO HEAVILY on getting a BBTB! I've read some posts saying "it won't do anything unless you bore and match the IM" so I had pretty much said forget it, can't spend that much money yet (that's the reason I asked you today if you had an extra IM).

Anways, I'm almost 100% sure I'm gonna get one now. Was there any trouble installing it? How long did it take you? What tools did you use? Just curious wink.gif

How much for the KSpec BBTB? I can get the one through EVO Fusion (in stock) for $200. Is yours 58mm? Take Pics!!!!

Stupid non-tuner question:
what is BOV and BIM...?

BIM = somethin about an intake manifold?

and..., also if you buy a BBTB, what stuff is required/strongly suggested to get w/ it. i want one.

I don't hear it when im shifting, but sometimes when im at a drivehthrough, if i tap the gas pedal, it like "lags", and sounds like a BOV sorta. I just have intake(random special), and nothing else.

If you get a BBTB, you need to get your IM bored out into a BIM to at LEAST match the size of your TB. I got mine bored to the MAXIMUM size of my adjustable TB.

BOV = Awesome

LOL

I'm not Blowing Off your question.
