DSM valve train
So I've seen it a couple times posted on different forums that supposedly DSM valve springs will fit in the Beta heads. If that is true, can someone give me some hard actual facts on this? Instance, do we use the DSM spring, retainer and locks? Looking for different options compared to Ferrea.

4g63 springs from Crower. Paid $83.58 shipped. No, you don't need anything else.
If you go with Ferrea, then you need their whole kit because they're special parts.

Thanks for chiming in John! That should definitely help cut some costs when building up the head. I need to check the spring pressures and decide if I should stay with single or go with dual valve springs.
On a side note, do that have to be specifically the Crower ones?

I know the crowers have been confirmed but can anyone else mention other brands that have definitely been used?
Since the Ferrea springs will interchange between the beta I and II head I imagine the same should go for the dsm springs.

Sorry for bumping Old A$$ threads but can anyone confirm that the Ferrea dual valve springs for the Beta 1 work fine on the Beta 2? I'm not 100% but I thought the valve height was different between the two motors?

The beta II valves are longer but the Ferrea springs, seats, locks and retainers should swap. Slow2kgt ran them in his beta II head.
I picked up a built beta I head and am planning on swapping the valvetrain to my beta II head.
