Hi,

I rember that i have seen a post about alpha and beta engine, but i can`t find it, and i have tried searching.

I wonder whitch model have whitch engine?

example i have 1998 Hyundai coupe (tiburon) 1.6 fx, sold in Norway. Do i have alpha or beta engine?

All 4cyl Coupes/Tiburons have the Beta engine (Beta 2 for GKs) & same goes for Lantras/Elantras.

The Excel/Pony/Accent have Alpha engine's in them.

That means that the rd1 & rd2, 1.6, 1.8 & 2.0 have the Beta 1 engine, and the gk have the beta 2 engine.

Is this the same all over the world? i think someone say it was different in europe..





OT: will turbo kit made for beta 1, fit all beta 1 engine? or only 1.8 & 2.0l?
