AEM intake group buy interest....
Okay, following the rules of the group buy forum, I am posting this here first...
Is anyone interested in a group buy for the AEM intakes part# 21-520 for tibs 1997-02 4CYL
I just got one from this guy on an ebay auction for almost the same price. Had great communication with him during and after the auction. I asked him if he would be interested in a group buy, and he replied with great interest.
Here's the deal:
$157.99, plus $19.99 s/h (red, blue, polished)
We need at least 10 people to get this price.
If you want to email him directly, here is his email: damato2001@cs.com
Please post here if you are interested...this is a KILLER price for these. If this one goes good, he is looking into a price for B&M short shifters.
THANKS!
Here is the link to the auction that I had won:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...1871201663&rd=1
He is listed on ebay as a powerseller and has no negative feedback.

what do ya mean?
If you think it is shady or something, I added the link to the auction I won that initiated contact with the guy. I am just looking out for fellow tuners looking for a bargain.

I'll ask him about it. I don't know if he can sell those cheaper, but I bet he would be willing to include them for those that want them.
Oh yeah...if those interested could include what color they want, it would be cool too.
I forgot to include one in the original post, there are actually 4 choices: red, blue, silver, polished.

Here is the latest word from the supplier cut and pasted from my email:
"hi brian,
the blue is currenlty on back order, and has been for about a week..sometimes
it is hard to predict when a specific aem intake will be back on the
shelf..but i will try my best to get some idea directly from aem..i was there
yesterday and asked, but couldn't get an answer..( they are very busy right
now..they moved their manufacturing operation to another building and are
still catching up)
and, yes, we carry the bypass valvel, and you are right...it is part #
20-403S..the one for the 3 inch pipe..
the cost would be $33.99, plus an additional $2.99 for s/h...we would open
the intake box up and put the bypass valve in with the intake..( normally, we
charge $34.99, plus $7.99 s/h)..
lastly, we can drop the price for the intake to only $153.99 (plus $19.99 s/h)
for the group buy!
thanks!
best regards,
phil
aempowr"
Summary: now $173.98 for intake shipped to your door
or $210.96 for intake + bypass valve shipped to your door
Blue is apparently on backorder for the moment, but I figure by the time this group-buy has 10 people, AEM will be back on track.

Just to help keep count, I'll put this up and edit this post as people join.
1.) tiburong (intake, color ?)
2.) mouse (intake, color ?, bypass)
3.) greenchaos (are you still in? I saw your post about Injen in another thread.)
4.) plantenutz (intake, color ?)
5.)
6.)
7.)
8.)
9.)
10.)
Need to get 10 for this to happen.
Can't believe more people aren't jumping on this for the price. Oh well.
