4-2-1 Header Install
Hey all, I'm about to buy a 4-2-1 header for my 98 tiburon, and was wondering, just how difficult it was. Is there any special tricks or tools needed for the install? Any advice will help, thanks

I don't think it will bolt up to the stock exhaust, which means you will need either custom work done to match 'em up, or (the easier solution) a custom cat-back exhaust.
|
a few tips,
1. make sure you do a custom exhaust with it 2. put a new cat in and make sure the rear o2 sensor goes behind the cat. 3. DO NOT GET A LOUD MUFFLER headders are real loud on their own, so a loud muffler is not a good idea. |
which mufflers are qiute but dont lose preformance??
|
I have a HKS dragger muffler on my car with 2 1/4" cat back and it's not loud at all. Sounds just right and it's made for our cars too. Just my .02.

is there a difference from a super dragger and a dragger.
Thanks |
Yeah...one is fly...and the other is STOOPID FLY! :D

You will need to extend/replace the stock O2 sensor as the bung for it is located further down on the 421 header, on the stock one it is near the first cat.
Some tibs require 2 O2 sensors, you will need to ask around - my UK spec tib only needed the one. In the picture below you can see the bung for the O2 sensor, just after the flex-pipe. http://members.tripod.co.uk/Xorro2/u...ne/mine073.jpg |
those sure are pretty smile.gif
