Do the 2000-2001 tiburons have the same Slave cylinder spring that the Elantras have slightly slipping the clutch?

Maybe someone more technically inclined can ensure this but I am pretty positive that the elantra/tiburon of the same years are identical when it comes to the drivetrain. So yes it should work.

Even the earlier year tiburons/elantras will work too. (97-01 are all the same)

I am going to try the spring removal mod anyways, if the spring is not there then I know it definetly is my clutch just going on me soon, and it probly needs the fluid drained anyways.

How many miles on your clutch? Anything over 70thousand and it is probably the clutch itself going. Not that stock hyundai clutches grip that well to begin with, even when new.

Yes they have the same cylinder. Removeing the spring & cup lets the clutch take up faster. But if your clutch is slipping, this mod will not fix it. It has no effect on the normal opperation of the clutch, only the take up.

Yeah, the Tib clutch doesn't grip hard, but thats because its geared for economy and ease of drivability purposes. If its slipping hard, then a little spring isn't the cause of it.

Personally, I don't fiddle with the little internals of the transmission... but if you want to, thats up to you.

There is 55k on the clutch right now, I drive it a little hard, When I was going up a steep hill there was a funny smell, didn't really smell like clutch, There was nobody else around and I tried downshifting to ease the load on the clutch a little, once we hit the flats again it was fine, Also when it is hot out it slips when I drop it. Could very well be my driving on a stock clutch, If it is the clutch then are there any recommendations for a better clutch that is just bolt on, That can take a little abuse, Im not overkill on the it just a little hard on it at times, So far what i've heard is not to buy spec products.

The slipping when you drop it would prolly b the return valve (spring & cup), but not the slipping up hill.
