Default 2.0 beta motor

Couple Questions:

How much to buy a 2.0 motor?
was thinking of putting the 2.0 in mine,
and try and get it port and polish. was just
wondering if there is any place to get one
or if anyone is selling one for a decent price.

If I were to put the 2.0 will I just need the block and head?
or everything along with it? ECU, wiring harness, etc.

Keep your 1.8 ECU. It'll work with the 2.0, and it actually improves the performance of the 2.0.

If you can rebuild a motor, you can buy a new one for under $100 at a junkyard. The only problem is most of them have atleist 90,000 miles on them. It would be a good idea to replace the barrings and rings before you put it in.

As for what you would need, you would be fine with just the block and internals. The head and trans are interchangable.

It's not worth putting a 2.0l in your current car unless your engine is dead.

You can get them off ebay for under $500 shipped.

It's just not worth doing all that job over couple horses. I mean if you have the money and time go for it, but I'd just turbo your current motor. 1.8L hold boost very well!
