Anyone got the info on the 1.8L flywheel? I'm starting to piece together a clutch setup, and have been told that it actually makes a decent lightweight flywheel for us, and has no chance of warping at all. Considering the cost, I'd love to put one of these in (OEM FTW!).

I want to compare it to the VHR Flywheel and the Fidanza. If it's not that much heavier, and decently lighter than the 2.0L one, I'll do it for sure.

I'm going to do some more searching, but I didn't find any answers.

I think I still have my oem 1.8 flywheel. I got an 11lb flywheel off ebay...much lighter than stock 1.8

Can you get a weight on it for me please?

According to Mad John, you can get quite a bit machined off of them too if you want.

I weighed my stock one and its around 15lbs.

I was also mistaken on the flywheel I bought. It wasn't 11lbs. It was 9.5lbs.

I bought the XTD chromoly flywheel off ebay. Their auction says its 10lbs, but when I weighed it I got ~9.5. Reason I went with this instead of the fidanza is because I needed it a bit heavier for my application tongue.gif

I suggest just buying a XTD flywheel, great quality, great price, and hell of a lot less weight even if you remove 2-3 lbs from a stock 1.8. Also, I believe the 2.0 is a 35mm pilot and the 1.8 a 41 pilot. How are you going to fill 6mm? An arbor? lol

the 1.8L flywheel would be a 45mm crank and wont work for most of us here.....besides lightweight flywheel only cost like 150-200 bucks for the chromoly ones.
