Sounds cool, better pick up and mileage, maybe a couple of hp
install, i don't know, i just had mine done but there was a bunch of other stuff done too, so i don't know the price for just the install.

It is pretty easy to install. There is a web site titled Brendan's web page (Elantra Zone) that explains how to install it perfectly. Might want to do a search engine on this. It shouldn't cost you anything to install it but I would recommend using gloves and buying a quart of oil to lube the cam before you put it in. The hardest part will be removing all the bolts to get to the cam. you can expect 2 to 3 horses, not bad for the money spent.
I did it.. bought the cam for more than that from my local dealer.. it is an easy swap, the harderst part being the actual getting to the cam. A coloured tooth on the cam sprocket lines up with a coloured link on the chain that connects the two cams together...
the only warning. The cam carriers are bolted together at 9 pounds per square inch when your torque them down... very weak bolts.. I broke one and had to drill and tap it. Tedious, but overall not bad.
It is not a "magic Pill" hp wise, but it does make a difference. Even the idle took on a slightly throatier sound. A gruff edge to an otherwise benign engine. If you have any questions or problems, PM me

where can i get the cam from? i went to my local dealer... that was a bad idea... they said it costs like $500 Canadian... so there must be a better place to get one
