alllright i tried this, except i didnt drill it. all i did was heat up a knife, press it into the led(ABOVE the metal peices inside the acrylic!!!) and then tap on it with a hammer. it disperses the light very evenly, even if the cut isnt straight. if you do it though, make sure the led isnt pointing at anyone cause when you cut it, it goes flying!

I just scored the LED with the edge of my drill. Seemed to work pretty well. I couldn't figure out how to get the drill to stay on top to drill a crater. Oh well, it worked for me
