If the threads holding together your boot on the stick shift start fading it makes the car look old. Blacken them in. All you need is a magic marker and an hour of time.
My boot threads were starting to turn a grey brown color. It did not look nice and new. I used this method and it worked well.
Gently touch the magic marker to the threads in the boot and they will gather the ink from the marker on their own. Be careful not to touch the leather as it is a different color.
For a little pizazz, you might try a different color marker. I assume red or silver would be the first logical choices.

Yeah, and you could get your pimp'd car stolen as well. My vechicle looks stock. I keep it looking stock because when I travel off this military installation, i want to ensure i have a vehicle to get back on it. I say why spend money to attract thives who would like to have what you have? Not that I've done a whole $h1Tload of mods or anything, i'm still working on it. There's only 2 things you can see 1. My Car alarm LED, 2. the bass boost knob for my sterio amp.... and you'd be hard pressed to find it.

not worried about stolen boots... ICE and vehical overall is my concern
I also have a Nomad Muvo Zen MP3 player hidden.
Why would you want to make your car look phat when phat cars are the ones that get stolen, broken into, or pieced at a chop shop? Just HAVE a phat car, don't look phat.
