Diy Center/floor Stabalizer Bar
hmmm... it really makes that much of a difference? It just seems like it is in a place where it wouldn't. Close to the floor and one of major crossmembers built into that floor. I can only guess that Hyundai did not properly reinforce the area where the door opening meets the chassis rail and floor.
I do like the idea on how this one sits closer to the car instead of hanging out in the open where things can get caught in it. I am probably going to go with a roll bar though. I remember when I installed one in my spider. I had to realign the doors as it pulled the thirty year old body straight again. I have been a firm believer in them ever since.

Dimitry,
I totally agree. Thats why I added the extra anchor bolt right next to the bar. The reason this works well is unlike the strut tower braces that pull to the center of the car, this bar WIDENS across the car and butts up very snuggly to the frame rails.
Strut Tower Braces=pull in
JDM Center brace= push out against the frame rails.
Trust me, if you install it like the DIY says, the bar literally feels like it is welded in place! I may go one step further and add one more anchor to the last open hole on the mounting bracket, but it is great the way it is right now.
Of course this bar isn't for everyone, but its a bit cheaper than others on the market. I also dig the looks too! smile.gif

Guys, I've said it before, these center bars make a HUGE difference, and they look good.
Total time to put in is maybe 10 minutes, if you just put it in. To reinforce it the way he did, maybe 20 minutes if you have all the stuff ready.
