has anyone installed cruise control on there rd/2 tiburon? if anyone has can they explain how they installed it?

This one is a long shot guys, probably won't come up.

You'll need the cable/vaccum unit, a TB with a cruise pulley on it, some vacuum hose, the cruise button for the interior, possibly the bulb for the cluster CRUISE light, and I think there is an electronics unit too.

I'll see what I can find in my manual when I get home, and if it's not rediculous, I could offer packaged prices for junkyard parts to get it done.

Install is pretty simple, only the electronics I don't know about.

You can get electric aftermarket ones now (no vacuum), might be easier than fiddling with OEM gear.

Heres an example, I'm sure theres manufacturers in the US aswell.

The vehicle speed can be tapped from the obd-II connector under the dashboard. Webtech says that's a Y/B wire, it may be Yellow/blue or Yellow/Black. Either way, it should be pretty easy to sort out because there's only a few wires which go to the OBD port.

If you need RPM signal, that can be tapped easily from a screw behind the tachometer needle.

The power can come from anywhere and ground.

The rest of the wires will probly be cruise control manufacturer speciffic like wiring for the switches and what not. If you have any other questions please ask.

I am so interested in intalling one of this.There are tons of universal kit out there. Hope someone gives it a try. My car is a right hand side driver. I wonder one of these will fit on my car.

Its not going to be to hard to install. The hardest part would be connecting the cable to the throttle body. Everything else is just tapping wires.

So it's not possible to place an OEM hyundai tib cruise control? I would prefer to install an OEM hyundai tib cruise control instead of an universal one.

Here's the schematics for wiring. It's entirely possible to hook up a cruise control system.

OEM is the best, some of the aftermarket systems don't disengage with the brake or clutch, some drain the battery constantly even when the car's off to retain it's memory. It's all in how much work you want to put into it.
