What kind of cable do you use to connect your video card to your monitor?

HDMI, DVI or VGA? Is one better than the other?

In order to get my computer monitor to display on the television, I set up my tape camcorder in front of the monitor. Then hook my special 12' rca cable into the real-time video output on the camcorder. Plug the cables into the vcr, turn to channel 3 and BAM virtual Solitaire from the comfort of the couch. I also tried to play NHL '94 but it can be really laggy. Hope this helps.

-HDMI

-DVI-D

-DVI-A

-VGA

-RCA

In that order. It's difficult to tell the difference between DVI-A and DVI-D from the cable, you have to look at the pins and compare to an online guide. However the quality difference is rather large. DVI-A is closer in quality to VGA than HDMI.

Dual display port. I found not only better display over DVI, but better reliability in connectivity and detection. I did however have to throw away the cables that came with my Samsung monitors. They were cheap crap.
