Web-based email vs Windows Mail?

Just wanted to through a question out here for opinions. When it comes to email who uses web-based email vs a client app like Outlook or Windows Mail?

Webmail is only really good on gmail. I haven't tried outlook.com in a while, but it was pretty bad a couple of years ago. My mail server at webmail.casual-dev.com sucks.

You could set up a local client, but personally, I prefer to reserve that for mobile. On desktop it just takes too long to sync and I have a large mail collection (more than 100,000).

So what I'm saying is to try them out and see what works best for you. I used to use clients back in 2000, and I am required to do so at work. With a good connection a webmail can be good if coded properly.

I use Outlook at work and at home. All my email accounts (including Gmail) run through Outlook, with rules set up so each account goes into a specific folder. Just much easier to keep it all consolidated and managed into one spot. :)

I forward my email so it all comes to one box and I see where it came from.
