Looks like the satelite hit a "space wall" and cannot go further. Just goes to show you we shouldn't be meddling with forces we do not understand and were warned about.

Absolutely noting in that article points in any way to anything to do with your title.



Voyager 1 has been traveling within the general area that it is expected that the heliopause will be located for the last few years, but since we have never been there defining when we have technically left the solar system is difficult.
