Ok, So this is something which I never would have attempted with my AMD XP 2300 machine. I recently upgraded to a 4 core, 8 thread i5 processor. I've now got plenty of processor power to use virtual machines. So as I speak I'm using Internet Explorer, in Windows, in a virtual machine, on my linux desktop. I can start a virtual machine and have windows up and running in about 10 seconds from my Ubuntu/linux desktop. I can run 4 instances of windows before the computer starts slowing down at all.

I installed this windows virtual machine so I could upgrade the iphone software. Now I just realized that I'd like to start developing iPhone apps. This requires a macintosh. Where can I get Mac OS? OSX Leopard I think? Is there a way to get it cheaply, or do a test drive?

I've never run Mac before and I'm new to using virtual machines. I'd like to hear some tips on obtaining/installing Mac OS.
