Google admits Android wasn’t designed to be safe

http://media.idownloadblog.com/wp-co...r-Networks.jpg “If I had a company dedicated to malware, I would also be targetting Android”, Pichai (Sundar Pichai = Android Lead) allegedly said to a stunned audience at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain. When your own platform lead starts making such frank statements about Android security, it’s high time you considered taking these security reports at face value… Only 4% of Android devices run the latest software? :Paranoid2: iOS is far from immune and perfect, but what Google has done is downright irresponsible. |
This is news? It's open-source. It's perfectly safe if you're not an idiot. If you surf the web indiscriminately, you're gonna get screwed.

And just like on a computer where you surf the web, you can install protection onto your phone that protects it from malware and viruses. How is it Google's fault that people are idiots and don't protect themselves? |
