Default Finally upgraded my computer and switched to an SSD

I upgraded my laptop finally. Got rid of the old hard drive and swapped over to a 500 GB SSD with a brand new copy of windows 10. Upgraded my memory from 4 GB to 8 GB. For minimal cost it's like a whole brand new even better computer. I wished I had changed to an SSD a while ago because the difference is night and day. I'm coming from Win 8.1 to 10 so it's not really too much different.

I'm running 3 different PCs with SSDs. Will never go back for the boot drive. Still a huge difference from one SSD to another but all are better than spinning platters.

Same here! I updated both my laptop's to SSD and will never go back to traditional drives. The difference is like comparing dial up internet to high speed fiber.

SSDs are old news but it really depends on the type of drive and use.

I am currently upgrading all my servers to Sata 3 (6Gb) SSD boot drives. The speed difference is incredible and since they are so cheap now it's silly not to. I am picking up 120GB for around 30-35/per and putting them in a raid 0; because f*ck redundancy I need speed. However for data store it's just not yet advisable to use SSDs due to the write life limitations. So in my SAS storage I'm still using 4TB HDDs (raid 5).

Put it in RAID 0. Won't make all processes faster, but some do.
