Does anyone use vonage?
 

I normally use my cell phone for everything, but if I call overseas it can get expensive and sometimes it takes a couple of tries for the call to go through. Vonage has some really cheap pricing for international calling. I added it up and it would be alot cheaper than using my cell. I talk to my grandparents and a couple of cousins usually 3-4 times a month who live in Portugal. The other benefit to having vonage is I would have a home phone line too that I could use in case my cell phone dies (I always forget to charge my battery).



If anybody has experience with it please let me know. Some people may recommend Skype too but my grandparents are old school and cousins are kind of young. They are not all that computer literate. So anything to do with the computer is out of the question for them.

I'm cellular only, no home phone, no need for vonage here.



Have you considered Google Voice? Not sure if it would meet your needs.
