Default Bandwidth question

Lets say there is a video that is 100 mb in size. and you have two options, to download it or to stream it.



Now we know that if you download it your going to be downloading 100 mb. But what if you stream it? How much are you using? Is it technically downloading the 100mb to stream it or will it be less/more?

You possibly use more by streaming it, because sometimes it streams the video twice when you skip/reverse the play.
