Default Android phone as a dash cam

I’m thinking about getting some kind of mount for my phone and turning it so its facing forward and using it as a dash cam. A lot cheaper than buying a GoPro or something else similar. I have a pretty big memory card in my phone so recording space wouldn’t be an issue.

I've done this. No mount. Just a non-slip pad on the dash and phone leaning against the windshield. Not so good if you are wanting to film something at the track..

Yep.. it's even easier if you get a suction-cup universal mount. Just stick it to the window, make sure you have a clear field of view, then let-er-rip.
