I keep trying it different ways, but it tastes like utter crap and watered down. I would really like to start making my own, but I yet to find a recipe/method that pleases my tastebuds.
at starbucks we get a preground mix for iced coffee. i'd say it's about a medium ground, then you brew a concentrated batch. so i would use half the amount of water you would use for whatever amount of grounds you're using. then add an equal amount of ice to what you brew.
so, if you brew lets say 10 cups worth of grounds, brew it as if it were 5 cups of coffee, then add 5 cups of ice, toss in the fridge, and now you have iced coffee.

Brew Espresso, then pour over ice. Or, you can brew coffee, then stick it in the freezer without ice in it. Use re-usable "ice cubes" when you drink it. I have some that I use for mixed drinks so they don't get watered down.
