What's the freaking difference between cured and uncured bacon? Taste?

Curing it just means it was soaked in a crapload of salt to maintain color and "freshness" for an extended period of time. Curing was the main way to preserve meats before the invention of refrigeration. Now, it just helps it last even longer in your refrigerator, lol.
