Chick-fil-A makes rare Sunday exception in Texas
 
"Unlike many restaurants, Chick-fil-A is known for more than just food: it's also famous for being closed on Sundays.



But in the name of a good cause, some locations in Texas northeast of Dallas turned the lights on Sunday after tornadoes ripped through the state and killed 11 people."



I suppose these restaurants are doing it for charity and aid, huh?

How was that bad? They were not open to the public, and they handed out free food to the victims. Did you read the whole article? Because you failed to quote it all and left out the important details.

"The locations were not open to the public, but team members from various restaurants in the area did volunteer to prepare and distribute free food to responders and others affected by the tornadoes—serving those in need during this tragic event," said Amanda Hannah, a spokeswoman for the chain, in an email.


I'm pretty sure Truett Cathy would've been okay with this.

The purpose of Sunday, if you know anything about Christianity, is to keep that day Holy and to use it to serve God's will. They did exactly that by opening the doors to serve FREE food to those in need, and not make a profit from it.
