Default Best way to store lemons & limes?

What is the best way to store lemons and limes....they are rather expensive, and half of mine usually start to go bad after 4 days or so....seems no matter how I store them.

Tips?

Expensive? They are 3 for a dollar here?

That being said you can start drink more alcoholic drinks that require lemons and limes. Lol

They're not the type of fruit that tends to last longer than that. Like said, buy a couple at a time every few days if you can't go through them fast enough and have to have them. Not sure what you're using them for, but if it's not for their color, a couple discolored spots doesn't mean they're bad. The fridge is the best way, but 4-5 days is all you get with the bright color you bought them with.

I quarter mine and freeze them. Works well for drinks, flavoured ice cubes FTW! Works well for most citrus fruits.
