Police allowed to secretly put GPS transponder on your car

Apparently it is legal for the police to affix a GPS transponder to your car, without you knowing, when it is on the road.

It is, however, illegal to do so if the car is parked on your personal property.

Scary stuff. I know if I walked outside from a store or wherever and saw a cop underneath my vehicle installing something without my consent....it would not be pretty and I would probably end up in jail for screaming at the cop.

What if you found it, took it off, then destroyed it?

Would they then charge you for it? lol

If I randomly found it, I would remove it and install it on some other car for them to follow around laugh.gif Or just to really screw with them...install it underneath a police car, since they're just attached with high strength magnets. lmao.gif

Then youll be arrested and indicted on illegal wiretapping charges like the guy in Maryland who got arrested for filming himself being pulled over with his helmet cam.

all i found was a guy in maryland, not montana.

Ya maryland that was the guy im talkin about. I knew it was an M state and well montana came to mind first. Ill fix my post.
