Arggg, just got 4 new tires last month and already picked up a nail in one of them, had to get it patched up. P-ed me right off when I noticed it.

Damn man, that really sucks!

Glad I don't have Rims and Low Pros on it yet. But the tires did cost a pretty penny anyways, BF Goodrich G-Force Sport

you guys shoudl buy the thing to fix ur own flat. I got it for liek 10 bucks and i did like 5 tires already.

First u pull out the nail with pliers, then clean it with the tool and soem cleaning cement stuff. then push in some red sticky shiz, then pull out the tool w/o the red sticky shiz. and Vola! fill up the tire and done!

Yea, you can pick up a tire plug kit at wally-world (wal-mart) for real cheap. Then you buy some rubber cement and additional plugs, and you can easily fix your own flats. fing02.gif

I know I could have plugged the tire, but I thought because they are brand new I was better off to get it patched.

Just be glad they werent the 35 series KDWs. They don't give a road hazard on those because of the profile, and they're REALLY pricey...well, in Canada anyway.

aircorey 03-19-2006 01:21 AM

Mine didn't even have a road hazard on them, I had to pay to get it patched, thats what p-ed me off. Next time I am getting tires elsewhere, shoulda thought about it before I got it done but didn't really think about the consequences much.

when I used to live in Ocean City NJ.. I CONSTANTLY picked up nails and screws... that island is constantly being torn down and built up with bigger and bigger houses.. the contractors leave nails EVERYWHERE. I think my record for having a pristine set of new tyres was a month.. usually I would pick up a nail in the first few days of getting new tyres.

It sucks.. but just remember, if you have a patched tire, do NOT take it to the track. Even though it does not leak, it is still a weak spot on the tread and can make the tire fall apart at high speeds.

all i have to say is if you live near a discount tire store you should always buy your tires there. we have an awsome road hazard program...life of the tire anything happens you need a new one, just come in and get a free replacement. Also, free lifetime rotate balance and air checks and puncture fixes. great deal if you ask me.
