Tell them that they need to give you a memorandum or show you in your contract where it says that this is a condition of employment

I have quite a few hours of quarterly training which is remedial and manditory. I'd say all together, I spend about 50+ hours a year in training like EO, Consideration Of Others, and POSH (Prevention Of Sexual Harassment)...

On a side note, I'm trying to convince the Army to adopt a new method of training for POSH. It's more streamlined, to the point, and quick training. I call it PORSH (Prevention Of Reporting Sexual Harassment). It involves telling people to buck up and take it like a man.

Anyways..
That's my general training. I'm a Biomedical Equipment Technician in a hospital. They make us take Healthcare information certifications, and stuff like that.
That's my technical training. I work in a military hospital. They make me take courses in going unseen and being able to blend in to a crowd, not doing obvious things, not dressing certain ways, not going certain places and that sort of thing. They also give us training on how to search for bombs and stuff like that.
That's my Army training.. I'm a civilian and a government worker. They also make me take courses on changes to pay scales and everything else.

If all you get is 3 hours every year, you're good.
