Ok.. for the past month I have been rather busy work wise (getting paid is a different topic) and I have been pretty much unable to devote the time to my cars that I would like to. (Ie.. it's DARK when I get done working)

So, thursday, turkey day.. thought I would wash my poor tib, clean in the inside all nice and neat.. give her a good wax and basically a good spit and polish..

No rain in weeks.. what happens.. it rains friday.. Ok, I can deal with that. Saturday (yesterday) I have to run down to DC... no probems except for the gale force (force 2 I think) that are blowing waves OVER The bridge causeway that I have to traverse to get off the island I live on.

Ok.. car was dirty but not irresponsilbly so.. now it is dirty and covered in salt from being hit by not one.. not two.. but THREE cascading wave sprays from the high winds...

Sometimes it just does not pay to wash your car... but on the flip side.. except for a bit of spilled hot chocolate from coming home at 4:30 in the morning from working in DC.. the interior is still clean.

i here ya about crappy timing when cleaning the car though, seems like whenevr i wash mine, the forecast suddenly changes and it rains the next day.

ah, .. thats nothing man, ... "Road Salt" is the WORST!!

especially when a salt truck drives right next to your car with it spraying salt right at your car!!

this bastard did that to my tib when i was at work (last break @ 4:00am) i saw that bastard pelt mine, and my co-workers cars with bloody road salt

and the snow was'nt even that bad! , I wanted to throw a peice of scrap metal from our bins at this jerk!
I swear he was inches away from our bumpers .
but yeah, ...I hate salt too, LOL

The entire front of my tib is covered in little pits in the paint from driving by a salt truck last year.... I hope to get her repainted this coming year.

Mine too and to make it worse they now have these liquid salt trucks too. I don't know what they have in these things but if you are driving behind one there are approx. eight to twelve tubes spraying out some form of snow/ice melter that melts it before you can get to it. (when you are driving behind one that isn't too long of a period)
What the heck is that stuff and what is that doing to my paint and underbody?

My brand new Eurovan just got sandblasted the sunday. I had to pass a gravel truck in Ny.. he was spreading gravel ona DRY and snow FREE turnpike... It sounded just AWEFUL as it pelted the side of my van.. no damage that I can tell yet.. but I still need to wash it now.

Going to keep her the dark forest green.. too much involved with changing a cars colour.. but I think I am going to have a pearl clearcoat put on for a little extra dazzle. I really am a subtle person, I do not like drawing too much attention to myself, makes driving a little more enjoyable than worrying about the next arse who is going to want to race or the cop that sees my car a mile away and decides that I need a good following in case I do something stupid.. so I keep a clean and mostly stock appearance on my cars.. it is only once you get up close that you can see the mods..
