Default I hate pollen!

Washed my car 2 days ago and today it's covered again in tree sperm! Luckily, I dont suffer from allergies but my girl does really bad. She's been miserable the past few weeks because of it. And here's the thing....I dont park under any trees and my car stays in the garage but somehow it still gets covered. Not just the outside, but I noticed the interior has it everywhere too, and I keep my windows up.

Oh well! Gives me a reason to keep the car washed every few days.

^^Just eat local honey. That's what I do. Have had allergies for years. Then started eating local honey and it allows your body to get use to the pollens in your area. Works great for me.

Bees don't eat pollen from:

ashe juniper ("cedar")

oak

ash

ragweed

or mold (which is not a pollen but whatever)

...and those are the things that get me most.

Eating local honey work for some people with mild allergies. People like myself (severe allergies, complicated by sinus damage from my bike wreck in '97), are pretty much stuck taking prescription meds that work ok but still not great. I've got a pollen filter in my home HVAC system and air purifiers in my living room and bedroom. I also use a Neilmed Sinugator every day. Hoping to get surgery to fix my sinuses as soon as I get some vacation time saved up.

You know what's cheaper than surgery? Allergy drops. At least give 'em a try first.

I have tried mucinex several times and it doesn't work for me. Alergy pills like zyrtec, claritin, alegra, etc.,don't really work either, all they do is make me drowsy.

My face was crushed in '97. I have mesh and plates in my face now. My sinus healed smaller than normal. They need to fix my very deviated septum and "turbonate" my sinuses to open them back up. I have sleep apnea, bad snoring, and breathe through my mouth when I sleep (dentist says it's ruining my gums). Surgery is kinda my only option. I also need my L. shoulder fixed and discs from T4 to T7 fixed. I'm a bit of a "project car" right now.
