They told us to get it seen to and give them the bill(fair enough).
Just people like that p*ss me right off , no respect for other peoples things.
We are getting seen to tomorrow, hopefully it does'nt need respraying, the guy thats doing it has delt with this sort of thing before and has the tools to do it ,so fingers crossed.
If it does'nt come off my nieghbours in for a shock when he gets the bill for a respray.

you should be able to use a solvent - it should wipe right off.
sucks though

Do you want the car a new color because this woud be a good option because the bill isn't on you.

SwiftTiburon 08-21-2006 04:13 PM

Wow that sucks a-s..but hopefully all will be worked out.

truefully a basic rubbing compound and wax should clean it up

NemainTib00 08-21-2006 05:38 PM

How old is that paint job (not the house paint)? The good news is that anyone with a clay bar, assortment of compounds and waxes and some time can take it off. But if the paint job has been on the car for more than 6mos. you should be able to use virgin thinner and a soft rag to take it off, just do small sections and don't let it sit too long (if the clear begins to feel 'rubbery' STOP!) fing02.gif

I like it. Ask them to add a little bit more. Looks like a blue tib with some white specks

looks like you have some good neighbors. they could have been pricks and said, "take it to court" but they didn't. it could end up there, but at least they're taking responsibility so far

sjl01 08-22-2006 11:00 AM

Will rubbing compound be o.k to use as the paint work is metalic.

HyundaiKitCoupe 08-22-2006 11:50 AM

think you can get paint off if you scrape each dot off. that's how i got some paint off of my car. but yeah your neighbors are pretty misoriented. i don't know why they wouldn't think about paint mist carrying off places. that's the first thing you have to think about when you paint outside.
