:? I have a 1997 Hyundai Tiburon FX 5 speed and for some reason it started idling at 2k rpm for no reason. It never did it before but started doing it one day. Plus my car has been hesitating and bucking under 3,500 rpm. does anyone know why these things are happening? could it be the TPS sensor? I don't know whats wrong with it!

Default Anyone have T-Mobile Cell Service?

check the idle setting. the bucking sounds like maybe plugs or injectors. :?

laugh.gif Hey thanks for the advice. i got my 97 tiburon fixed... it turned out to be bad wires and plugs and a bad TPS.. the wires and plugs i got from the dealer for 60 bucks and the TPS I got for 36 bucks... the car runs perfect now.

How hard is it to replace the TPS? Occasionally my tib will idle high (A couple of quick blips of the throttle will bring it abc down) but I do NOT trust the dealer here to look at it.

Well for me i bought it and just plugged it in with my friend.. it is right near the area where the intake piping goes in... it is really simple and really cheap

sounds like a plan to me.. especially since this is a known weak area of the Tib.
