Will 235/45-17 fit?

you probably will

235 is way too wide of a tire. the biggest you'll be able to put on your car would be a 215 (w/ stock suspension)

you could put 235's if you put on some fender flares or somethin. lol

205 is the size of choice on our cars, with a 215 the biggest possible

Hellspawn, please put a brief description of your questions in the Thread Titles mang. It makes searches work easier.

17's, ugh.

possible on stock springs and maybe on coilovers, also depending on the offset, the main problem is that the fender will sit on the tire when the spring compresses when the wheels are turned, but with 235 you would probly get rubbing with the wheels pointed straight also
the max right now is 205/40/17 with very minor rubbing

KayJai 06-26-2004 01:19 PM

215/40/17's MAX with a 1.5" drop. NO PROBLEMS.
THAT'S MAX!
Hope you like to spend money on tires and fender liners if you go with 235's

if your lowered, theres no way in hell you'd be able to drive with 235/45/17's

you'd be making 45 point turns, ... (ever see the movie Austin Powers ?;P) LOL

215/40/17s lowered 1.7inches a little fender rub on turns and comin up into driveways but you can fix that with a baseball bat or similar object. Its called the cheapmans fender roll. Take the baseball bat, wedge it between the tire and the fender and push down on it(not too hard or you'll push out your entire fender). This will roll that little lip on the inside of your fender. in stead of an L shape that lip will be pushed into a sharp U shape...gives you a lil more clearance. Since i did that i haven't had ANY fender rub.

Hi Guy/Gals,

Does this same size issue still apply to a factory 2013 Sonata?

I have a set of 235/45-17. just curious if anything has changed.
